The dwellers of the thicket gave the lie to the apostles. 176 When Shu'ayb said to them, "Will you not fear Allah? 177 I am for you a faithful Messenger, so fear you God, and obey you me. 178 be, then, conscious of God, and pay heed unto me! 179 my wage falls only upon the Lord of all Being. 180 ۞ Fill up the measure and do not diminish the goods of people, 181 And weigh (things) with a right balance, 182 And do not wrong men of their things, and do not act corruptly in the earth, making mischief. 183 “And fear Him Who created you and the earlier creations.” 184 They replied, "You are bewitched. 185 You are nothing but a man like us, and we think you are a liar. 186 "So cause a piece of the heaven to fall on us, if you are of the truthful!" 187 He said, 'My Lord knows very well what you are doing.' 188 But they denied him, and We seized them with the torment of the Day of Shadowing (when the cloud had rained down fire). It was indeed the torment of a terrible day! 189 Verily in that is a Sign: but most of them do not believe. 190 Your Lord is Majestic and All-merciful. 191
