3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
And Nuh did certainly call upon Us, and most excellent answerer of prayer are We. 75 And We delivered him and his people from the great affliction. 76 And made his progeny to endure (on this earth); 77 And We let it remain upon him in the latter: 78 Peace and salutation to Nuh among the nations. 79 That is how We recompense the righteous: 80 For he was one of our believing Servants. 81 Then afterwards We drowned the rest. 82 ۞ Abraham was one of his followers. 83 Recall what time he came unto his Lord with a heart whole. 84 Recall what time he said unto his father and his people: What is it that ye worship? 85 Is it a calumny, gods apart from God, that you desire? 86 What think you then of the Lord of all Being?' 87 He then shot a glance at the stars. 88 And said: "I am sick (of what you worship)!" 89 And they turned their backs on him and went away. (The pagans thought he would transmit the disease). 90 Then he turned to their gods and said, "Do you not eat? 91 Why do you not speak?" 92 And then he fell upon them, smiting them with his right hand. 93 whereupon people came to him running. 94 Abraham said to them: “Do you worship what you yourselves have carved with your own hands 95 even though God created both you and that which you have made?" 96 "Build a pyre for him and throw him into the raging fire." 97 They had contrived an evil plan against him, but We abased them all. 98 He said, 'I am going to my Lord; He will guide me. 99 "O my Lord! Grant me a righteous (son)!" 100 We gave him the glad news of the birth of a forbearing son. 101 And when he reached the age of traveling with him, he said: 'My son, while I was sleeping I saw that I shall slaughter (sacrifice) you, tell me what is your opinion' He replied: 'Father, do as you are ordered (by Allah). Allah willing, you shall find me one of those who are steadfast' 102 When both surrendered (to Allah's command) and Abraham flung the son down on his forehead, 103 We called to him, saying: 'O Abraham, 104 "Thou hast already fulfilled the vision!" - thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 105 This is indeed the manifest trial.' 106 We ransomed him with a great sacrifice, 107 And We left (this blessing) for him among generations (to come) in later times: 108 Peace be unto Ibrahim: 109 As such We recompense the gooddoers. 110 He is indeed one of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 111 And We gave him the glad tidings of Ishaque (Isaac) a Prophet from the righteous. 112 And We blessed him, and Isaac; and of their seed some are good-doers, and some manifest self-wrongers. 113
