3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
Noah cried to Us, and how excellent was Our response! 75 And We delivered him and his people from the great affliction. 76 And We preserved his descendants. 77 And left for him (a goodly remembrance) among generations to come in later times: 78 Peace be on Nuh among the worlds. 79 Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 80 he was among Our believing servants. 81 We drowned all the others (besides Noah and his people). 82 ۞ Abraham was one of his followers. 83 when he turned to his Sustainer with a heart free of evil, 84 Behold! he said to his father and to his people, "What is that which ye worship? 85 Would you serve false deities instead of God? 86 “So what do you assume regarding the Lord Of The Creation?” (That He will not punish you?) 87 Then he looked at the stars, looking up once, 88 and said: 'Surely, I am sick (of what you worship)' 89 So they turned away from him, and departed. 90 Then he turned aside to their gods secretly and said: What! do you not eat? 91 "What is the matter with you that ye speak not (intelligently)?" 92 Then he turned against them secretly, smiting them with the right hand. 93 So the people descended upon him. 94 He said: "Worship you that which you (yourselves) carve? 95 "While Allah has created you and what you make!" 96 They said, "Let us build a fire and throw him into the flames". 97 (This failing), they then sought a stratagem against him, but We made them the ones most humiliated! 98 He said, "I will go to my Lord: He is sure to guide me. 99 Abraham prayed, "Lord, grant me a righteous son". 100 So We gave him the glad tidings of a forbearing boy. 101 and when he was old enough to go about and work with him, (one day) Abraham said to him: “My son, I see in my dream that I am slaughtering you. So consider (and tell me) what you think.” He said: “Do as you are bidden. You will find me, if Allah so wills, among the steadfast.” 102 So when they had both submitted their wills (to Allah), and he had laid him prostrate on his forehead (for sacrifice), 103 We called unto him: O Abraham! 104 thou hast confirmed the vision; even so We recompense the good-doers. 105 that surely was a manifest trial, 106 So We ransomed him for a great sacrifice, 107 And left (his hallowed memory) for posterity. 108 "Peace upon Abraham." 109 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 110 Verily, he was one of Our believing slaves. 111 We gave Abraham the good news of Isaac, a prophet and a righteous man, 112 And We blessed him and Isaac. But among their descendants is the doer of good and the clearly unjust to himself. 113
