Noah called to Us; and how excellent were the Answerers! 75 And We saved him and his family from the great affliction. 76 And, his progeny, them We made the survivors (i.e. Shem, Ham and Japheth). 77 We left mention of him among later generations. 78 Peace and salutation to Nuh among the nations. 79 Lo! thus do We reward the good. 80 Surely he was of Our believing servants. 81 Thereafter We caused the others to be drowned. 82 ۞ And indeed Ibrahim is from his (Nooh’s) group. 83 when he turned to his Sustainer with a heart free of evil, 84 and [thus] spoke to his father and his people: "What is it that you worship? 85 Is it false deities that you want to serve rather than Allah? 86 Then what is your thought about the Lord of the worlds?" 87 The people invited him to attend their feast). Then he looked at the stars 88 and said, "I am sick!" 89 So they turned away from him, departing. 90 and he turned to their idols and asked them, "Do you eat? 91 Why do you not speak?" 92 Then he started striking them down with his right hand. 93 So they (people) advanced towards him, hastening. 94 He said: worship ye that which ye carve. 95 "But Allah has created you and your handwork!" 96 They said, “Construct a building (furnace) for him, and then cast him in the blazing fire!” 97 They plotted against him, but We brought humiliation upon them. 98 And he said: verily I am going to my Lord who will guide me. 99 My Lord, grant me [a child] from among the righteous." 100 We gave him the good news that he would have a patient, forbearing son. 101 And when he attained to working with him, he said: O my son! surely I have seen in a dream that I should sacrifice you; consider then what you see. He said: O my father! do what you are commanded; if Allah please, you will find me of the patient ones. 102 So when they both submitted and he threw him down upon his forehead, 103 We called out: "O Abraham, 104 Of a surety thou hast fulfilled the vision. Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 105 Verily, that indeed was a manifest trial 106 And We ransomed him with a great sacrifice (i.e. a ram); 107 And We left for him among the posterity: 108 Peace be with Abraham. 109 Thus, do We reward the righteous ones. 110 truly, he was one of Our faithful servants. 111 We gave Abraham the good news of Isaac, a prophet and a righteous man, 112 And We sent blessings upon him and Ishaq; and among their descendants – some who do good deeds, and some who clearly wrong themselves. 113
