3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
Noah called for help. How blessed was the answer which he received. 75 We delivered him and his household from the great calamity; 76 And made his progeny survive, 77 and We established for him a good name among posterity. 78 Salamun (peace) be upon Nuh (Noah) (from Us) among the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists)!" 79 Thus indeed do we reward those who do right. 80 Surely he was among Our faithful creatures. 81 We drowned all the others (besides Noah and his people). 82 ۞ Abraham was on the self-same way (as Noah). 83 When he came to his Lord with a pure heart, 84 Behold! he said to his father and to his people, "What is that which ye worship? 85 Is it a falsehood-god beside Allah that ye desire? 86 What do you think of the Lord of the Worlds' 87 Then he glanced a glance on the stars. 88 And he said, "I am indeed sick (at heart)!" 89 So they turned away from him, and departed (for fear of the disease). 90 and he turned to their idols and asked them, "Do you eat? 91 What is the matter with you that you do not speak?" 92 And he turned upon them smiting them with his right hand. 93 Then came the others to him hastening. 94 He said, "How can you worship what you yourselves have carved 95 the while it is God who has created you and all your handiwork?" 96 They said, "Let us build a fire and throw him into the flames". 97 But whereas they sought to do evil unto him, We [frustrated their designs, and thus] brought them low? 98 Abraham said: “I am going to my Lord; He will guide me. 99 My Lord, grant me a righteous (son)' 100 So We gave him tidings of a gentle son. 101 And [one day,] when [the child] had become old enough to share in his [father's] endeavours, the latter said: "O my dear son! I have seen in a dream that I should sacrifice thee: consider, then, what would be thy view!" [Ishmael] answered: "O my father! Do as thou art bidden: thou wilt find me, if God so wills, among those who are patient in adversity!" 102 When they both agreed and Abraham had lain down his son on the side of his face (for slaughtering), 103 We called unto him: O Abraham! 104 You have fulfilled the vision." Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 105 Indeed, this was the clear trial. 106 And We ransomed him with a mighty victim. 107 And We left for him [favorable mention] among later generations: 108 Salamun (peace) be upon Ibrahim (Abraham)!" 109 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 110 Surely he was one of Our believing servants. 111 And [in time] We gave him the glad tiding of Isaac, [who, too, would be] a prophet, one of the righteous; 112 And We blessed him and Isaac. And of their seed are some who do good, and some who plainly wrong themselves. 113
