The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

By (the horses) that charge snorting, 1 And striking off fire by dashing their hoofs. 2 And push home the charge in the morning, 3 and raising clouds of dust, 4 Cleaving, as one, the centre (of the foe), 5 VERILY, towards his Sustainer man is most ungrateful 6 and he himself is a witness to that, 7 And indeed he loves wealth to the extreme. 8 ۞ So does he not know? When those in the graves are raised, 9 And what is in the breasts is made apparent? 10 That their Lord had been Well-acquainted with them, (even to) that Day? 11
