And assuredly Nuh cried unto us; and We are the Best of answerers! 75 We saved him and his family from the great affliction, 76 And made his progeny survive, 77 And We let it remain upon him in the latter: 78 "Peace and salutation to Noah among the nations!" 79 This is how We reward the virtuous. 80 For he was one of our believing Servants. 81 We then drowned the others. 82 ۞ And Abraham indeed was of his inducement, 83 When he came to his Lord with a pure heart, 84 [And] when he said to his father and his people, "What do you worship? 85 Is it a falsehood-god beside Allah that ye desire? 86 "Then what do you think about the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns, and all that exists)?" 87 Then he looked carefully at the stars 88 And said: "I am sick (of what you worship)!" 89 So they departed from him turning their backs. 90 Then he turned to their gods, and said: 'What do you eat? 91 Why do you not speak?" 92 And he turned upon them smiting them with his right hand. 93 Then they (the worshippers of idols) came, towards him, hastening. 94 "Why do you worship these you carve yourselves," he asked, 95 "When God has created you and what you make?" 96 They said, "Let us build a fire and throw him into the flames". 97 They desired to outwit him; so We made them the lower ones. 98 Abraham said: “I am going to my Lord; He will guide me. 99 My Lord, give me one of the righteous.' 100 Then We gave him the good tidings of a prudent boy; 101 and when he was old enough to go about and work with him, (one day) Abraham said to him: “My son, I see in my dream that I am slaughtering you. So consider (and tell me) what you think.” He said: “Do as you are bidden. You will find me, if Allah so wills, among the steadfast.” 102 Then when the twain had submitted themselves and he had prostrated him upon his temple. 103 And We called out to him, “O Ibrahim!” 104 you have fulfilled the dream." It is thus indeed that We reward those who do good, 105 for, behold, all this was indeed a trial, clear in itself. 106 So We ransomed him for a great sacrifice, 107 and left for him among the later folk 108 Peace be on Ibrahim. 109 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 110 He was one of Our believing worshipers. 111 And We gave him the glad tidings of Ishaque (Isaac) a Prophet from the righteous. 112 And We blessed him and Isaac. Among the offspring of the two some did good and some plainly wronged themselves. 113
