The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the heaven adorned with big stars. 1 And by the Day promised, 2 and by the witness and what is witnessed: 3 Cursed were the companions of the trench 4 Full of fire fed by faggots, 5 while they themselves sat around it 6 And they were witnesses of what they did with the believers. 7 They had no other reason for hating them except that they believed in God the mighty, worthy of praise, 8 and the One to whom belongs the heavens and the earth. God is the Witness of all things. 9 Those who persecuted the believing men and women and never repented, there is for them the punishment of Gehenna (Hell), and for them the punishment of the burning. 10 Verily, those who believe and do righteous good deeds, for them will be Gardens under which rivers flow (Paradise). That is the great success. 11 The vengeance of God is terribly severe. 12 Indeed it is He Who initiates and redoes. 13 and He is the Forgiving and Loving One. 14 Lord of the Throne, the Glorious, 15 Executor of His own will. 16 Have you not heard the story of the hosts 17 of the Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 Yet the infidels persist in denial. 19 And Allah is after them, has them surrounded. 20 In fact it (what they deny) is the Noble Qur’an. 21 (Inscribed) in Al-Lauh Al-Mahfuz (The Preserved Tablet)! 22
