3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
Noah cried to Us, and how excellent was Our response! 75 We rescued him and his people from the greatest affliction 76 And made his seed the survivors, 77 and We left him thus to be remembered among later generations: 78 Peace be unto Noah among the peoples! 79 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 80 he was one of Our believing worshipers. 81 We then drowned the others. 82 ۞ AND, BEHOLD, of his persuasion was Abraham, too, 83 (Remember when) he came to his Lord with a pure heart; 84 When he said unto his father and his folk: What is it that ye worship? 85 "Is it a falsehood aliha (gods) other than Allah that you seek? 86 What do you think about the Lord of the Universe?" 87 And he cast a glance at the stars, 88 Then said: Lo! I feel sick! 89 And they turned their backs and went away from him. 90 Then he turned towards their gods and said: "Why do you not eat (of these offerings)? 91 Why do you not speak?" 92 He struck them with his right hand. 93 Then the people came toward him, hastening. 94 but he said, "How can you worship things you carve with your own hands, 95 "While Allah has created you and what you make!" 96 They said: "Build for him a building (it is said that the building was like a furnace) and throw him into the blazing fire!" 97 And they devised a plot for him, but We made them the humble. 98 And he said: Lo! I am going unto my Lord Who will guide me. 99 "My Lord! Grant me (offspring) from the righteous." 100 We gave him the glad news of the birth of a forbearing son. 101 And when he attained to working with him, he said: O my son! surely I have seen in a dream that I should sacrifice you; consider then what you see. He said: O my father! do what you are commanded; if Allah please, you will find me of the patient ones. 102 When they had surrendered, and he flung him upon his brow, 103 We cried unto him: O Ibrahim 104 Of a surety thou hast fulfilled the vision. Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 105 Indeed, this was the clear trial. 106 And We ransomed him with a tremendous sacrifice, 107 and perpetuated his praise in later generations. 108 "Peace and salutation to Abraham!" 109 That is how We recompense the righteous: 110 for he was truly one of our believing servants. 111 And We gave him the glad tidings of Is-haq, a prophet, and of the righteous. 112 And We blessed him, and Isaac; and of their seed some are good-doers, and some manifest self-wrongers. 113
