3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
Noah called to Us; and how excellent were the Answerers! 75 And We rescued him and his family from the great distress (i.e. drowning), 76 And We made his descendants those remaining [on the earth] 77 And left for him among the later folk (the salutation): 78 'Peace be upon Noah among all beings!' 79 That is how We reward those who do good. 80 he was one of Our believing worshipers. 81 Then We drowned the others 82 ۞ And most surely Ibrahim followed his way. 83 he came to his Lord with a sound heart. 84 when he said to his father and his folk, 'What do you serve? 85 "Is it a falsehood aliha (gods) other than Allah that you seek? 86 What is then your idea about the Lord of the worlds? 87 Then he looked up at the stars (they worshipped), 88 And he said: verily I am about to be sick. 89 But they went away from him, turning their backs. 90 Then turned he to their gods and said: Will ye not eat? 91 What ails you, that you speak not?' 92 Then he turned against them secretly, smiting them with the right hand. 93 So they (people) advanced towards him, hastening. 94 but he said, "How can you worship things you carve with your own hands, 95 the while it is God who has created you and all your handiwork?" 96 They said, "Build him a furnace, and throw him into the blazing fire!" 97 But whereas they sought to do evil unto him, We [frustrated their designs, and thus] brought them low? 98 He said, "I will go to my Lord: He is sure to guide me. 99 Lord, grant me a righteous son." 100 So We gave him the good news of a boy ready to suffer and forbear. 101 And when he attained the age of running with him, he said: O my son! verily I have seen in a dream that I am slaughtering thee; so look, what considerest thou? He said: O my father! do that which thou art commanded; thou shalt find me, Allah willing, of the patients. 102 And when they had both submitted, and his son had laid down prostrate upon his forehead, 103 We called to him, "Abraham, 104 you have fulfilled what you were commanded to do in your dream." Thus do We reward the righteous ones. 105 Indeed this was a clear test. 106 And We ransomed him with a great sacrifice (i.e. a ram); 107 And We left for him among the later folk (the salutation): 108 'Peace be upon Abraham!' 109 Thus do We reward the doers of good. 110 Surely he was one of Our believing servants. 111 And We gave him the good news of Isaac - a prophet,- one of the Righteous. 112 And We sent blessings upon him and Ishaq; and among their descendants some who do good deeds, and some who clearly wrong themselves. 113
