We also bestowed Our favour on Moses and Aaron: 114 And We delivered them both and their people from the mighty distress. 115 and succoured them, so that [in the end] it was they who achieved victory. 116 And We gave them the clear Scripture; 117 And showed them the right path. 118 And We let it (the beautiful praise) remain upon on both of them in the latter (generations), 119 "Peace be upon Moses and Aaron!" 120 Thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 121 They were among Our believing worshipers. 122 And verily, llyas was one of the sent ones. 123 He said to his people, "Have you no fear [of God?] 124 Do you call on Ba'lan (the idol Baal) and abandon the Best Creator, 125 Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your fathers of yore? 126 In response they denied him, so they will surely be brought forth as captives. 127 But not the servants of Allah, the purified ones. 128 And We left for him [favorable mention] among later generations: 129 "Peace be on Elijah and his people!" 130 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers, who perform good deeds totally for Allah's sake only - see V. 2:112). 131 Indeed, he was of Our believing servants. 132 So also was Lut among those sent (by Us). 133 Recall what time We delivered him and his household, all. 134 except an old woman who lingered, 135 Then We destroyed the rest. 136 You pass by (their ruined town) in the morning 137 And at night; do you not then understand? 138
