And We did certainly confer favor upon Moses and Aaron. 114 and We delivered both of them and their people from the great calamity. 115 And helped them so that they became the victors. 116 and We gave them the Clear Book, 117 And showed them the straight path, 118 and We left them thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among later generations: 119 'Peace be upon Moses and Aaron' 120 Lo! thus do We reward the good. 121 They are among Our faithful devotees. 122 Verily Elias is one of the apostles. 123 When he said to his people: "Will you not fear Allah? 124 Do you call upon Ba'l and leave the best of creators - 125 God, your Lord, and the Lord of your fathers?" 126 But they denounced him as a liar, so they will surely be arraigned (for punishment), 127 Except the chosen creatures of God. 128 And We kept his praise among the latter generations. 129 Peace be with the followers of Elias. 130 It is thus indeed that We reward those who do good: 131 Indeed, he was of Our believing servants. 132 So also was Lut among those sent (by Us). 133 when We delivered him and his people all together, 134 Except an old woman who was among those who lagged behind: 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 And indeed you pass over them in the morning. – 137 and night: will you not take heed? 138
