Again (of old) We bestowed Our favour on Moses and Aaron, 114 We saved them and their people from great distress; 115 And We helped them, so they were the vanquishers. 116 We gave them the enlightening Book, 117 And We guided them both on the right way. 118 And We left for them among the later folk (the salutation): 119 "Peace be upon Moses and Aaron!" 120 This is how We reward the virtuous. 121 Verily! They were two of Our believing slaves. 122 And indeed Ilyas is one of the Noble Messengers. 123 He told his people, "Why do you not have fear of God? 124 Will you invoke Baal and forsake [God,] the best of artisans 125 Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your first forefathers?" 126 But they denied him, so they surely will be haled forth (to the doom) 127 Except the chosen servants of Allah. 128 And We let it (the beautiful praise) remain upon him in the latter (generations), 129 Peace be on Elias. 130 It is thus indeed that We reward those who do good: 131 He was among Our believing worshipers. 132 And lo! Lot verily was of those sent (to warn). 133 Recall what time We delivered him and his household, all. 134 except for an old woman who remained behind. 135 Then We utterly destroyed the rest of them. 136 And most surely you pass by them in the morning, 137 and at night.
