Again (of old) We bestowed Our favour on Moses and Aaron, 114 and We saved them and their people from the awesome calamity [of bondage,] 115 and succoured them, so that [in the end] it was they who achieved victory. 116 and We gave them the Clear Book, 117 guided them to the right path, 118 And We left for them among the later folk (the salutation): 119 Peace be on Musa and Haroun. 120 Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 121 for those two were truly among Our believing servants. 122 And verily, Iliyas (Elias) was one of the Messengers. 123 When he said to his people: "Will you not be mindful of God? 124 "Will ye call upon Baal and forsake the Best of Creators,- 125 "Allah, your Lord and Cherisher and the Lord and Cherisher of your fathers of old?" 126 But they denied him [Iliyas (Elias)], so they will certainly be brought forth (to the punishment), 127 Except the bondmen of Allah sincere. 128 We perpetuated his praise in the later generations. 129 "Peace upon Elias." 130 Thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 131 For he was one of our believing Servants. 132 Lot was also one of the messengers. 133 When We saved him and his household, every one, 134 Save an old woman among the lingerers. 135 and We destroyed the others. 136 And surely ye pass by them in the morning. 137 and in the night; will you not understand? 138
