And We did certainly confer favor upon Moses and Aaron. 114 We saved them and their people from great distress; 115 and succoured them, so that [in the end] it was they who achieved victory. 116 And We vouchsafed unto the twain a Book luminous. 117 And We guided them both on the right way. 118 And We left for them (a goodly remembrance) among generations (to come) in later times; 119 "Peace and salutation to Moses and Aaron!" 120 Even thus do We reward the doers of good. 121 Indeed they are two of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 122 Elias too was one of the Envoys; 123 when he said to his people, 'Will you not be godfearing? 124 "Will you call upon Ba'l (a well- known idol of his nation whom they used to worship) and forsake the Best of creators, 125 Allah, your Lord and Lord of your forefathers? 126 But they called him a liar, therefore they shall most surely be brought up. 127 excepting only [those who were] God's true servants; 128 We perpetuated his praise in the later generations. 129 "Peace upon Elias." 130 Thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 131 He was one of Our believing servants. 132 And indeed, Lot was among the messengers. 133 [So mention] when We saved him and his family, all, 134 Except an old woman who was one of those who stayed behind. 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 And surely ye pass by them in the morning. 137 and at night. Will you then not understand? 138
