And certainly We conferred a favor on Musa and Haroun. 114 And delivered them and their people from the great affliction. 115 And We helped them, so they overcame (their troubles); 116 and We gave them the Book which helps to make things clear; 117 and guided them upon the Straight Path. 118 and left them thus to be remembered among later generations: 119 "Peace and salutation to Moses and Aaron!" 120 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 121 Indeed they are two of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 122 Elias too was one of the Envoys; 123 Behold, he said to his people, "Will ye not fear (Allah)? 124 Will you invoke Baal and forsake [God,] the best of artisans 125 Allah, your Lord and Lord of your forefathers? 126 But they rejected him, and they will certainly be called up (for punishment),- 127 except Allah's chosen servants. 128 And We perpetuated to him (praise) among the later generations. 129 'Peace be upon El Yaseen' 130 It is thus indeed that We reward those who do good: 131 For he was one of our believing Servants. 132 Lot, too, was among the Messengers. 133 When We delivered him and his followers, all-- 134 except an old woman who lingered, 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 You pass by their desolate habitations in the morning 137 and night: will you not take heed? 138
