Again (of old) We bestowed Our favour on Moses and Aaron, 114 We saved them and their people from great distress; 115 And We helped them, so they overcame (their troubles); 116 And We gave them the Book which helps to make things clear; 117 And showed them the straight path, 118 And We kept their praise among the latter generations. 119 Peace be upon Moosa and Haroon! 120 This is how We reward the virtuous. 121 They are among Our faithful devotees. 122 And Ilyas was most surely of the apostles. 123 When he said to his people, "Do you not fear?" 124 "Will you call upon Ba'l (a well- known idol of his nation whom they used to worship) and forsake the Best of creators, 125 Allah is your Lord and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients' 126 But they gave him the lie: and therefore they will most surely be arraigned [on Judgment Day,] 127 Except the bondmen of Allah sincere. 128 And We let it (the beautiful praise) remain upon him in the latter (generations), 129 'Peace be upon Elias!' 130 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 131 He was one of Our believing servants. 132 And Lut was most surely of the apostles. 133 when We delivered him and his people all together, 134 except an old woman who lingered, 135 and We destroyed the rest. 136 And most surely you pass by them in the morning, 137 And by night: will ye not understand? 138
