We also bestowed Our favour on Moses and Aaron: 114 And We saved them and their people from the great affliction, 115 And We succoured them so that they became overcomers. 116 and We gave them the Clear Book, 117 And We guided them both on the right way. 118 and left them thus to be remembered among later generations: 119 Peace be upon Moosa and Haroon! 120 That is how We reward those who do good. 121 They are among Our faithful devotees. 122 Elijah too was one of the messengers. 123 When he said to his people: Do you not guard (against evil)? 124 "Will you call upon Ba'l (a well- known idol of his nation whom they used to worship) and forsake the Best of creators, 125 Allah is your Lord and the Lord of your ancestors of yore.” 126 But they denied him [Iliyas (Elias)], so they will certainly be brought forth (to the punishment), 127 But not the servants of Allah, the purified ones. 128 We preserved a good name for him among posterity. 129 "Peace and salutation to such as Elias!" 130 Even thus do We reward the doers of good. 131 for he was truly one of Our believing servants! 132 Lot was certainly a Messenger. 133 When We delivered him and his followers, all-- 134 except for an old woman who stayed behind, 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 You pass by their ruins morning 137 And at night; will you not then reflect? 138
