And We indeed did a great favour to Moosa and Haroon. 114 and We saved them with their nation from a great distress. 115 We helped them, and they became victorious, 116 And We gave them the divine writ that made [right and wrong] distinct, 117 And guided them to the Right Path; 118 And We left for them (a goodly remembrance) among generations (to come) in later times; 119 "Peace and salutation to Moses and Aaron!" 120 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 121 Verily the twain were of Our bondmen believing. 122 And indeed, Elias was from among the messengers, 123 When he said unto his folk: Will ye not ward off (evil)? 124 What! do you call upon Ba'l and forsake the best of the creators, 125 "Allah, your Lord and Cherisher and the Lord and Cherisher of your fathers of old?" 126 And they denied him, so indeed, they will be brought [for punishment], 127 except Allah's chosen servants. 128 We left him thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among the following generations -- 129 Peace be unto Elias! 130 Thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 131 For he was one of our believing Servants. 132 And Lut was most surely of the apostles. 133 (Call to mind) when We delivered him and all his kinsfolk, 134 Except an old woman (his wife) who was among those who remained behind. 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 Verily, ye pass by their (sites), by day- 137 and at night, will you not understand? 138
