And We did certainly confer favor upon Moses and Aaron. 114 And We saved them and their people from the great affliction, 115 And We helped them, so they were victorious. 116 And We gave them the divine writ that made [right and wrong] distinct, 117 And showed them the straight path, 118 And We left (this blessing) for them among generations (to come) in later times: 119 "Peace and salutation to Moses and Aaron!" 120 Thus do We reward the doers of good 121 they were among Our believing servants. 122 And Ilyas was most surely of the apostles. 123 Behold, he said to his people, "Will ye not fear (Allah)? 124 Will you invoke Baal and forsake [God,] the best of artisans 125 God, your Lord, and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients?' 126 They called him a liar. Thus, all of them will suffer torment 127 Except the chosen creatures of God. 128 We perpetuated his praise in the later generations. 129 Peace be unto Elyasin. 130 This is how We reward the virtuous. 131 Lo! he is one of our believing slaves. 132 And indeed Lut is one of the Noble Messengers. 133 When We saved him and his family, all, 134 Save an old woman among those who stayed behind; 135 Then We utterly destroyed the rest of them. 136 Verily, ye pass by their (sites), by day- 137 and in the night; will you not understand? 138
