Hizb 46
< random >
Jonah, too, was one of the Messengers. 139 He abandoned his people 140 He (agreed to) cast lots, and he was condemned: 141 Then a (big) fish swallowed him and he had done an act worthy of blame. 142 And had he not been of those who exalt Allah, 143 he would certainly have remained in its belly till the Day of Resurrection. 144 ۞ Then We cast him on to the vacant surface of the earth while he was sick. 145 And We caused a tree of gourd to grow above him; 146 And We sent him (on a mission) to a hundred thousand (men) or more. 147 And they believed; so We gave them enjoyment for a while. 148 Therefore ask them (O dear Prophet Mohammed peace and blessings be upon him), whether the daughters are for your Lord and the sons for them! 149 Or that have We created the angels as females, while they were present? 150 Lo! verily it is of their falsehood that they say: 151 'God has begotten a son.' They are certainly liars. 152 Did He choose daughters rather than sons? 153 What is the matter with you? How do you decide? 154 What, and will you not remember? 155 “Or do you have some clear proof?” 156 Then bring ye your Book (of authority) if ye be truthful! 157 They link Him with jinns by lineage, yet the jinns know they will be brought before Him. 158 God is far above what they attribute to Him, 159 but not so the true servants of God, 160 Therefore you and all what you worship. (The disbelievers and their deities.) 161 Ye cannot excite (anyone) against Him. 162 Save him Who is to roast in the Flaming Fire. 163 [The angels say], "Every single one of us has his place assigned: 164 and, verily, we too are ranged [before Him in worship]; 165 "And we are verily those who declare (Allah's) glory!" 166 AND, INDEED, they [who deny the truth] have always been wont to say, 167 "If only we had a tradition [to this effect] from our forebears, 168 We would be single-minded slaves of Allah. 169 Yet now (that it has come) they refuse to believe in it; but they will come to know soon. 170 And assuredly Our word hath already gone forth Our bondmen, the sent ones: 171 That undoubtedly, only they will be helped. 172 and Our armies shall be the victors. 173 So withdraw from them (O Muhammad) awhile, 174 And watch them, for they will soon see. 175 So are they being impatient for Our punishment? 176 Then, when it descends into their courtyard (i.e. near to them), evil will be the morning for those who had been warned! 177 Withdraw from them awhile 178 And (then) see, for they too shall see. 179 Glory to thy Lord, the Lord of Honour and Power! (He is free) from what they ascribe (to Him)! 180 And peace is upon the Noble Messengers. 181 And all praise is to Allah, the Lord Of The Creation. 182
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
