Hizb 46

So also was Jonah among those sent (by Us). 139 when he ran away to the laden ship 140 He (agreed to) cast lots, and he was condemned: 141 then the whale swallowed him down, and he blameworthy. 142 Now had he not been of those that glorify God, 143 He would have stayed in its belly till the day the dead are raised. 144 ۞ Then We cast him on a desert shore while he was sick; 145 We made a plant of gourd grow up for him. 146 We sent him as a messenger to a hundred thousand people or more, 147 and they believed in him: so We let them live in ease for a while. 148 Now ask them (O Muhammad): Hath thy Lord daughters whereas they have sons? 149 Or did We create the angels females while they were witnesses? 150 Now surely it is of their own lie that they say: 151 "Allah has begotten children"? but they are liars! 152 Has He chosen daughters over sons? 153 What is [wrong] with you? How do you make judgement? 154 Will ye not then receive admonition? 155 Or, do you have a clear authority? 156 Bring your Book, if you are truthful. 157 And some people have invented a kinship between Him and all manner of invisible forces although [even] these invisible forces know well that, verily, they [who thus blaspheme against God] shall indeed be arraigned [before Him on Judgment Day: for] 158 limitless is God in His glory, above anything that men may devise by way of definition! 159 Except the bondmen of Allah sincere. 160 So you and your deities 161 Can tempt anyone to rebel against Him. 162 Except the one who will go into the blazing fire. 163 (Those ranged in ranks say): "Not one of us but has a place appointed; 164 We stand in ranks (for prayer) 165 And we are those who sing hallelujas to Him." 166 They used to say before: 167 Had we but an admonition as had the ancients. 168 then were we God's sincere servants.' 169 They therefore denied it, so they will soon come to know. 170 And Our word has already preceded for Our servants, the messengers, 171 That they would be helped, 172 and that it is Our host that would certainly triumph. 173 So, (O Prophet), leave them alone for a while, 174 And watch, for they will (soon) see. 175 Do they seek to hasten Our chastisement? 176 When it lights in their courtyard, how evil will be the morning of them that are warned! 177 So turn (O Muhammad SAW) away from them for a while, 178 And watch, for they will (soon) see. 179 Glorified be your Lord, the Lord of Honour and Power! (He is free) from what they attribute unto Him! 180 Peace be on the Messengers. 181 And Praise to Allah, the Lord and Cherisher of the Worlds. 182
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
