Hizb 46
< random >
And verily Yunus was of the sent ones. 139 when he fled like a runaway slave onto a laden ship. 140 And then they cast lots and he was the one who lost, 141 [and they cast him into the sea,] whereupon the great fish swallowed him, for he had been blameworthy. 142 Had he not been one of those who acknowledge the glory of God, 143 he would certainly have remained inside the fish until the Day of Resurrection. 144 ۞ We then put him ashore on a plain, and he was sick. 145 And We caused to grow over him a gourd vine. 146 and We sent him forth to a nation of a hundred thousand or more, 147 So they accepted faith We therefore gave them usage for a while. 148 AND NOW ask them to enlighten thee: Has thy Sustainer daughters, whereas they would have [only] sons? 149 Or, did We create the angels females while they were witnessing? 150 Lo! it is of their falsehood that they say: 151 That “Allah has offspring”; and indeed, surely, they are liars. 152 Has He chosen daughters over sons? 153 What aileth you? How judge ye? 154 Will ye not then receive admonition? 155 Or have you, perchance, a clear evidence [for your assertions]? 156 Produce, then, that divine writ of yours, if you are speaking the truth! 157 They have established a kinship between Allah and the angels; and the angels know well that these people will be arraigned (as culprits). 158 limitless is God in His glory, above anything that men may devise by way of definition! 159 except for the sincere worshipers of Allah. 160 for, verily, neither you [blasphemers] nor the objects of your worship 161 Cannot lead astray [turn away from Him (Allah) anyone of the believers], 162 Save him who is to burn in hell. 163 (Gabriel said to the Prophet): 'Each of us has a known place. 164 we are the rangers, 165 and we are of those who glorify Allah.” 166 They used to say: 167 "Had we received guidance from the people living before us, 168 we would have been sincere worshipers of Allah' 169 But they disbelieved in it, so they are going to know. 170 And indeed Our Word has already gone forth for Our bondmen who were sent. 171 assuredly they shall be helped, 172 And that Our host, they verily would be the victors. 173 So turn thou aside from them for a season. 174 And watch them (how they fare), and they soon shall see (how thou farest)! 175 Do they seek to hasten on Our Torment? 176 When that chastisement will descend upon their courtyard, evil shall that Day be for those who had been warned. 177 So turn thou away from them for a little while, 178 And wait, for they will soon see. 179 Your Lord, the Lord of Honor, is too exalted to be considered as they describe Him. 180 And peace be upon the Envoys; 181 And praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds! 182
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
