Hizb 46
< random >
And indeed, Jonah was among the messengers. 139 When he left towards the laden ship. 140 Then he joined the lots, and was of the condemned. 141 Then the fish swallowed him, while he was blameworthy. 142 And had he not been of those who hallow Him, 143 He would certainly have tarried in its belly to the day when they are raised. 144 ۞ We then put him ashore on a plain, and he was sick. 145 And We caused to grow over him a tree, a gourd. 146 And We sent him (on a mission) to a hundred thousand (men) or more. 147 and they believed. So We let them enjoy life for a while. 148 Now ask them (O Muhammad): Hath thy Lord daughters whereas they have sons? 149 Or did We create the angels females while they were witnesses? 150 Is it not a lie invented by them when they say: 151 “Allah has begotten.” They are liars! 152 (And again of their falsehood): He hath preferred daughters to sons. 153 What is [wrong] with you? How do you make judgement? 154 Will ye not then be admonished? 155 Or, do you have a clear authority? 156 Then bring your book, if you are truthful. 157 And they assert a relationship between Him and the jinn; and certainly the jinn do know that they shall surely be brought up; 158 Glorified is Allah! (He is Free) from what they attribute unto Him! 159 Except His chosen creatures who do not. 160 But as for you, and that you serve, 161 Cannot lead astray [turn away from Him (Allah) anyone of the believers], 162 Save him Who is to roast in the Flaming Fire. 163 [The angels say], "Every single one of us has his place assigned: 164 Verily we range ourselves in rows (as humble servants) 165 And we are those who sing hallelujas to Him." 166 And indeed they used to say: 167 "If we had had with us a Book like that of the people of old, 168 we would surely have been God's chosen servants," 169 But (now that the Qur'an has come), they reject it: But soon will they know! 170 And verily Our word went forth of old unto Our bondmen sent (to warn) 171 that it is certainly they who will be helped; 172 and Our armies shall be the victors. 173 So, [O Muhammad], leave them for a time. 174 And see [what will befall] them, for they are going to see. 175 Do they seek to hasten Our chastisement? 176 When it lights in their courtyard, how evil will be the morning of them that are warned! 177 So turn thou away from them for a little while, 178 and watch. They, too, will watch. 179 Glorified be your Lord, the Lord of Honour and Power! (He is free) from what they attribute unto Him! 180 Peace be on the Messengers. 181 And praise to Allah, Lord of the worlds. 182
God the Almighty always says the truth.
