S (Saad)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
Sad. I swear by the Quran, which is full of reminders of God, (that you are a Messenger). 1 nay, but the unbelievers glory in their schism. 2 How many did We destroy before them of the generations, then they cried while the time of escaping had passed away. 3 And they marvel that a warner from among themselves hath come unto them, and the disbelievers say: This is a wizard, a charlatan. 4 Has he made the gods one single God? This is truly astounding.” 5 And the eminent among them went forth, [saying], "Continue, and be patient over [the defense of] your gods. Indeed, this is a thing intended. 6 "We have not heard (the like) of this among the people of these later days. This is nothing but an invention! 7 To him of all of us has the Reminder been sent down?" They are still in doubt about My admonition; but they have not tasted My punishment yet! 8 Do they have the stores of the mercy of your Lord, the mighty and munificent? 9 Or is theirs the kingdom of the heavens and earth and of what between them is? Why, then let them ascend the cords! 10 this host too, among other hosts, is bound to suffer defeat. 11 The folk of Noah before them denied (their messenger) and (so did the tribe of) A'ad, and Pharaoh firmly planted, 12 and [the tribe of] Thamud, and the people of Lot, and the dwellers of the wooded dales [of Madyan]: they all were leagued together, [as it were, in their unbelief:] 13 not one [was there] but gave the lie to the apostles - and thereupon My retribution fell due. 14
