(Muhammad), recall Our servant Job. When he prayed to his Lord saying, "Satan has afflicted me with hardship and torment," 41 (And it was said unto him): Strike the ground with thy foot. This (spring) is a cool bath and a refreshing drink. 42 And We bestowed on him (again) his household and therewith the like thereof, a mercy from Us, and a memorial for men of understanding. 43 [And finally We told him:] "Now take in thy hand a small bunch of grass, and strike therewith, and thou wilt not break thine oath!" for, verily, We found him full of patience in adversity: how excellent a servant [of Ours,] who, behold, would always turn unto Us! 44 And remember Our bondmen Ibrahim, and Ishaq, and Yaqub – the men of power and knowledge. 45 Verily We! We distinguished them with a distinct quality: the remembrance of the Abode. 46 They are the chosen ones, the excellent in Our sight. 47 Also, remember our worshipers Ishmael, Elisha, and ThulKifl, they are among the good. 48 This is a Remembrance; and for the godfearing is a fair resort, 49 gardens of perpetual bliss, with gates wide-open to them, 50 Where they will take their ease, calling for fruits in plenty, and for wine, 51 ۞ And with them are the pure spouses, who do not set gaze upon men except their husbands, of single age. 52 This it is that ye are promised for the Day of Reckoning. 53 Lo! this in truth is Our provision, which will never waste away. 54 This [is so]. But indeed, for the transgressors is an evil place of return - 55 Hell, where they will burn, an evil resting-place. 56 This, [then, for them] so let them taste it: burning despair and ice-cold darkness 57 And other torments of similar kind, all together! 58 This is a troop entering with you (in Hell), no welcome for them! Verily, they shall burn in the Fire! 59 (The followers shall cry to the misleaders:) "Nay, ye (too)! No welcome for you! It is ye who have brought this upon us! Now evil is (this) place to stay in!" 60 They say: Our Lord! Whoever did prepare this for us, oh, give him double portion of the Fire! 61 And they will add: "How is it that we do not see [here any of the] men whom we were wont to count among the wicked, 62 Was it that we (only) took them in scorn, or have our eyes (now) turned aside from them? 63 Verily, that is the very truth, the mutual dispute of the people of the Fire! 64
