And remember Our servant Job, when he called to his Lord, "Indeed, Satan has touched me with hardship and torment." 41 (We said): 'Stamp your foot on the ground, here is cool water with which to wash and a drink' 42 And We gave him his family and the like of them with them, as a mercy from Us, and as a reminder to those possessed of understanding. 43 "And take in your hand a bundle of thin grass and strike therewith (your wife), and break not your oath. Truly! We found him patient. How excellent (a) slave! Verily, he was ever oft-returning in repentance (to Us)! 44 And remember thou Our bondmen, Ibrahim and Is-haq and Ya'qub, owners of might and insight. 45 Verily, We did choose them by granting them (a good thing, i.e.) the remembrance of the home [in the Hereafter and they used to make the people remember it, and also they used to invite the people to obey Allah and to do good deeds for the Hereafter]. 46 Lo! in Our sight they are verily of the elect, the excellent. 47 Remember also Our servants Ishmael, Elisha, and Dhul Kifl; each is among the excellent. 48 This is a commemoration. Surely for those who take heed for themselves is an excellent place of return -- 49 Gardens of perpetual residence, whose doors will be opened to them. 50 Where they will take their ease, calling for fruits in plenty, and for wine, 51 ۞ And beside them will be chaste females (virgins) restraining their glances only for their husbands, (and) of equal ages. 52 This is the promise being given to you, for the Day of Reckoning. 53 Indeed this is Our sustenance, which will never end. 54 All this; but for the insolent awaits an ill resort, 55 Hell, wherein they roast: a wretched couch. 56 This (shall be so); so let them taste it, boiling and intensely cold (drink). 57 and, coupled with it, further [suffering] of a similar nature. 58 This is a troop entering with you (in Hell), no welcome for them! Verily, they shall burn in the Fire! 59 The followers will say, “In fact, for you! May you not get open space! It is you who brought this calamity upon us!” So what a wretched destination. 60 They will say: "Our Lord! whoever brought this upon us,- Add to him a double Penalty in the Fire!" 61 And will add: "O what has happened to us that we do not see the men we counted among the wicked. 62 [and] whom we made the target of our derision? Or is it that [they are here, and] our eyes have missed them?" 63 Truly that is just and fitting,- the mutual recriminations of the People of the Fire! 64
