The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Recite in the name of your Lord Who created, 1 Createth man from a clot. 2 Read! And your Lord is the Most Generous, 3 He Who taught (the use of) the pen,- 4 The One Who taught man all what he did not know. 5 Indeed, surely the human is very insolent 6 Because he considers himself self-sufficient. 7 for, behold, unto thy Sustainer all must return. 8 Have you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) seen him (i.e. Abu Jahl) who prevents, 9 A slave when he prayeth? 10 Have you thought, if he had been on guidance 11 Or enjoins righteousness? 12 Seest thou if he denies (Truth) and turns away? 13 Does he, then, not know that God sees [all]? 14 Nay, if he desist not, We shall most surely drag him down upon his forehead 15 his lying sinful forelock. 16 So let him call on his concourse! 17 We too would summon the braves of the army. 18 Nay, Obey not thou him. But prostrate thyself, and draw near (unto Allah). ۩ 19
Almighty God's Truth.
