And remember thou Our bondman Ayyub, what time he cried unto his Lord: verily the Satan hath touched me with affliction and suffering. 41 (Allah said to him): "Strike the ground with your foot: This is a spring of water to wash in, cool and a (refreshing) drink." 42 We restored to him his family and like those with them, a mercy from Us and a reminder to a nation that understand. 43 And We said, “Take a broom in your hand and strike her with it, and do not break your vow”; We indeed found him patiently enduring; what an excellent bondman! He is indeed most inclined. 44 Remember Our servants Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob -- possessors of strength and vision. 45 Indeed, We chose them for an exclusive quality: remembrance of the home [of the Hereafter]. 46 and, in Our sight they were indeed among the select, the truly good! 47 Also, remember our worshipers Ishmael, Elisha, and ThulKifl, they are among the good. 48 LET [all] this be a reminder [to those who believe in God] - for, verily, the most beauteous of all goals awaits the God-conscious: 49 Gardens of perpetual residence, whose doors will be opened to them. 50 Reclining on pillows, in it they ask for fruits and drinks in plenty. 51 ۞ and with them maidens restraining their glances of equal age. 52 This is the promise being given to you, for the Day of Reckoning. 53 (It will be said to them)! Verily, this is Our Provision which will never finish; 54 However, the rebellious ones will have the worst place to return. 55 they will burn, in Hell, an evil resting place -- 56 This is for the criminals – so that they may taste it – boiling hot water and pus. 57 and other such torments. 58 This is an army plunging in without consideration along with you; no welcome for them, surely they shall enter fire. 59 (The followers of the misleaders will say): "Nay, you (too)! No welcome for you! It is you (misleaders) who brought this upon us (because you misled us in the world), so evil is this place to stay in!" 60 They say, “Our Lord! Whoever has brought this calamity upon us – double the punishment of the fire for him!” 61 And will add: "O what has happened to us that we do not see the men we counted among the wicked. 62 Is it that we mistakenly made fun of them; or have they disappeared from our sight?” 63 Verily this is the very truth: the wrangling of the fellows of the Fire! 64
