And make mention (O Muhammad) of Our bondman Job, when he cried unto his Lord (saying): Lo! the devil doth afflict me with distress and torment. 41 (Allah said to him): "Strike the ground with your foot: This is a spring of water to wash in, cool and a (refreshing) drink." 42 And We bestowed his household to him and one more similar to it – as a mercy from Us, and as a remembrance for the people of intellect. 43 And take in your hand a green branch and beat her with It and do not break your oath; surely We found him patient; most excellent the servant! Surely he was frequent in returning (to Allah). 44 (Muhammad), recall Our servants Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, all of whom possessed virtuous hands and clear visions. 45 We gave them this pure distinction because of their continual remembrance of the Day of Judgment. 46 And they are with Us, verily, of the chosen and the best! 47 And call to mind Ishmael and Elisha, and every one who [like them] has pledged himself [unto Us]: for, each of them was of the truly good! 48 This is an advice; and indeed for the pious is an excellent abode. 49 Gardens of Eden, whereof the gates are opened for them, 50 wherein they will recline, [and] wherein they may [freely] call for many a fruit and drink, 51 ۞ with them, they will have pure, modest women of an equal age. 52 This is what you are promised for the Day of Reckoning: 53 This is Our provision for you, never to end. 54 All this [for the righteous]: but, verily, the most evil of all goals awaits those who are wont to transgress the bounds of what is right: 55 Hell; which they shall enter; what an evil resting-place! 56 This - so let them taste it - is scalding water and [foul] purulence. 57 And other similar torments. 58 (We shall say to their leaders): 'This is a troop rushing in with you, there is no welcome for them, they shall roast in the Fire' 59 They will say nay! it is ye, for whom there is no welcome: it is ye who have brought it upon us. Evil shall be the resting-place. 60 They will say: "Our Lord! Whoever brought this upon us, add to him a double torment in the Fire!" 61 And they will say, "How is it that we do not see [here any of the] men whom we used to count among the wicked, 62 “Did we mock at them or did our eyes turn away from them?” 63 Surely that is true -- the disputing of the inhabitants of the Fire. 64
