1/2 Hizb 46

Remember also Our servant Job; when he called to his Lord, 'Behold, Satan has visited me with weariness and chastisement.' 41 [So he was told], "Strike [the ground] with your foot; this is a [spring for] a cool bath and drink." 42 We restored to him his family and like those with them, a mercy from Us and a reminder to a nation that understand. 43 And (it was said unto him): Take in thine hand a branch and smite therewith, and break not thine oath. Lo! We found him steadfast, how excellent a slave! Lo! he was ever turning in repentance (to his Lord). 44 Also, remember Our worshipers Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, those of might and vision. 45 Indeed, We chose them for an exclusive quality: remembrance of the home [of the Hereafter]. 46 and in Our sight they are of the chosen, the excellent. 47 And remember Ismail and Yasa’a (Elisha) and Zul-Kifl; and they are all excellent. 48 This was a remembrance. An excellent retreat awaits the God-fearing 49 Gardens of perpetual residence, whose doors will be opened to them. 50 Therein they will recline; therein they will call for fruits in abundance and drinks; 51 ۞ having beside them well-matched mates of modest gaze." 52 This is what they had been promised for the Day of Judgment. 53 (It will be said to them)! Verily, this is Our Provision which will never finish; 54 All this; but for the insolent awaits an ill resort, 55 Hell, in which they will burn. How vile a resting place! 56 There will be boiling water for them and cold, clammy, fetid drink to taste, 57 and other similar to it, joined together. 58 [Its inhabitants will say], "This is a company bursting in with you. No welcome for them. Indeed, they will burn in the Fire." 59 They will say, "Nor you! No welcome for you. You, [our leaders], brought this upon us, and wretched is the settlement." 60 [And] they will pray: "O our Sustainer! Whoever has prepared this for us, double Thou his suffering in the fire!" 61 And will add: "O what has happened to us that we do not see the men we counted among the wicked. 62 [and] whom we made the target of our derision? Or are they here, and our eyes have missed them?" 63 Truly that is just and fitting,- the mutual recriminations of the People of the Fire! 64

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
