Say: "Truly am I a Warner: no god is there but the one Allah, Supreme and Irresistible,- 65 “Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them – the Almighty, the Oft Forgiving.” 66 Say: "That is a Message Supreme (above all),- 67 but you have turned away from it. 68 (Tell them): “I had no knowledge of the High Council when they were disputing. 69 “I receive only the divine revelations, that I am purely a clear Herald of Warning.” 70 Behold, thy Lord said to the angels: "I am about to create man from clay: 71 and when I have formed him fully and breathed into him of My spirit, fall you down before him in prostration!" 72 And the angels did obeisance, all of them, 73 Saving Iblis; he was scornful and became one of the disbelievers. 74 [Allah] said, "O Iblees, what prevented you from prostrating to that which I created with My hands? Were you arrogant [then], or were you [already] among the haughty?" 75 He said: I am better than he; Thou hast created me of fire, and him Thou didst create of dust. 76 The Lord said, "Get out of here. You deserve to be stoned! 77 and My rejection shall be thy due until the Day of Judgment!" 78 He said: "O Lord, give me respite till the day the dead rise from their graves." 79 [Allah] said, "So indeed, you are of those reprieved 80 for an appointed time". 81 He said: Then, by Thy might, I surely will beguile them every one, 82 "Except Your chosen slaves amongst them (faithful, obedient, true believers of Islamic Monotheism)." 83 [And God] said: "This, then, is the truth! And this truth do I state: 84 That I will most certainly fill hell with you and with those among them who follow you, all. 85 Say (Prophet Muhammad): 'For this I ask of you no wage, and I am not of those who take things upon themselves. 86 This is only a warning for mankind. 87 And most certainly you will come to know about it after a time. 88
