SAY [O Muhammad]: "I am only a warner; and there is no deity whatever save God, the One, who holds absolute sway over all that exists, 65 "The Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, the All-Mighty, the Oft-Forgiving." 66 Say: “This is a tiding of tremendous import 67 yet you ignore it. 68 I had no knowledge of the Highest Chiefs when they disputed; 69 It has not been revealed to me except that I am a clear warner." 70 When your Lord said to the angels: "I am going to create a man from clay; 71 After I have created him and breathed into him of My spirit, fall you down, prostrating yourselves to him.” 72 So the angels prostrated themselves, all of them together: 73 but not Satan, who was too proud. He became one of those who deny the truth. 74 Allah said: O Iblis! what preventeth thee from prostrating thyself before that which I have created with both my hands? Becomest thou stiff-necked, or art thou of the exalted ones? 75 He said: "I am better than he. You created me from fire, and him from clay." 76 [Allah] said, "Then get out of Paradise, for indeed, you are expelled. 77 Upon you will be My damnation till the Day of Doom." 78 But Satan said, "My Lord, grant me respite until the Day of Resurrection," 79 He said: Lo! thou art of those reprieved 80 Until the day of the time appointed. 81 [Whereupon Iblis] said: "Then [I swear] by Thy very might: I shall most certainly beguile them all into grievous error 82 excepting those Thy servants among them that are sincere.' 83 He (i.e. Allah) said: “This is the Truth -- and I only speak the Truth -- 84 I shall assuredly fill Gehenna with thee, and with whosoever of them follows thee, all together.' 85 Say (O Muhammad SAW): "No wage do I ask of you for this (the Quran), nor am I one of the Mutakallifun (those who pretend and fabricate things which do not exist). 86 this is simply an admonition to mankind, 87 You will know the truth of the matter after a while.” 88
