Tell them, (O Prophet): “I am nothing but a warner. There is no deity but Allah, the One, the Supreme, 65 Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, the Mighty, the Pardoning. 66 Say: "This is a message tremendous: 67 "From which ye do turn away! 68 I had no knowledge of the exalted chiefs when they contended: 69 Only this has been revealed to me that I am a distinct warner. 70 When your Lord told the angels, "I will create a mortal out of clay, 71 and when I have formed him fully and breathed My spirit into him, prostrate yourselves before him." 72 all the angel then prostrated themselves 73 except iblis (satan, the father of the jinn), he became too proud, for he was one of the unbelievers. 74 He said: O Iblis! what prevented you that you should do obeisance to him whom I created with My two hands? Are you proud or are you of the exalted ones? 75 He said: I am better than he; Thou hast created me of fire, and him Thou didst create of dust. 76 He said: “Get out of here; surely you are accursed, 77 And lo! My curse is on thee till the Day of Judgment. 78 He said, "My Lord, then reprieve me until the Day they are resurrected." 79 Said Allah, “You are therefore among those given respite.” 80 "Till the Day of the Time Appointed." 81 He said: Then by Thy Might I will surely make them live an evil life, all, 82 Save Thy bondmen among them Sincere. 83 (Allah) said: "The Truth is, and the Truth I say, 84 "That I will certainly fill Hell with thee and those that follow thee,- every one." 85 Say: I do not ask you for any reward for it; nor am I of those who affect: 86 “It is not but an advice for the entire world.” 87 And most certainly you will come to know about it after a time. 88
