Elucidated (Fussilat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
Ha. Mim. 1 This is a revelation from the Compassionate, the Merciful. 2 A Book whose verses have been distinguished and explained, a lucid discourse for people who understand, 3 Announcing happy news and warnings. And yet most of them are averse and do not listen, 4 And they say, "Our hearts are within coverings from that to which you invite us, and in our ears is deafness, and between us and you is a partition, so work; indeed, we are working." 5 Tell them, (O Prophet): “I am only a human being like you. It is revealed to me that your God is One God; so direct yourselves straight to Him, and seek His forgiveness. Woe to those who associate others with Allah in His Divinity, 6 who do not pay zakat and have no faith in the life to come. 7 [But,] verily, they who have attained to faith and do good works shall have a reward unending! 8
