Elucidated (Fussilat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
Ha Mim 1 A revelation from the Beneficent, the Merciful, 2 A Book of which the verses are made plain, an Arabic Quran for a people who know: 3 Giving glad tidings and heralding warning; so most of them turned away, therefore they cannot listen (to the truth). 4 And say: "Our hearts are immured against what you call us to. There is a deafness in our ears, and a veil lies between us and you. So act (your way), we are acting (ours)." 5 Say thou: "I am but a man like you: It is revealed to me by Inspiration, that your Allah is one Allah: so stand true to Him, and ask for His Forgiveness." And woe to those who join gods with Allah,- 6 Who give not the poor-due, and who are disbelievers in the Hereafter. 7 For those who believe and do good works is an enduring wage' 8
