And whatever strikes you of disaster - it is for what your hands have earned; but He pardons much. 30 You cannot thwart Him on the earth, and have no friend or helper apart from Him. 31 And among His signs are the ships sailing on the sea, like hills. 32 and if He wills, He stills the wind, and they remain motionless on its back. Surely in that are signs for every man enduring, thankful. 33 Or He could wreck them for what they have done; yet there is much that He pardons. 34 Those who dispute Our verses may know that they have no asylum. 35 Whatever you have been given is only a temporary provision of this life, but that which is with God is better and more lasting for those who believe and put their trust in their Lord; 36 And those who avoid the greater sins, and Al-Fawahish (illegal sexual intercourse, etc.), and when they are angry, they forgive 37 Those who hearken to their Lord, and establish regular Prayer; who (conduct) their affairs by mutual Consultation; who spend out of what We bestow on them for Sustenance; 38 who, when they are attacked, defend themselves. 39 The meed of an ill-deed is an ill the like thereunto; but whosoever pardoneth and amendeth, his hire is on Allah; verily He approveth not the wrong-doers. 40 There is no blame against him who avenges himself after he has been wronged. 41 The way of blame is only against those who wrong mankind, and rebel in the earth without justice; these! for them is a torment afflictive. 42 And whoever is patient and forgives - indeed, that is of the matters [requiring] determination. 43
