Vanity (Al-Zukhruf)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
Ha'. Mim. 1 By the Clear Book 2 We have made it an Arabic reading text so that perhaps you may understand. 3 And indeed it is, in the Mother of the Book with Us, exalted and full of wisdom. 4 Shall We then take away the Message from you and repel (you), for that ye are a people transgressing beyond bounds? 5 How many a prophet did We send among the men of old! 6 But never yet came a prophet to them without their deriding him 7 Then We destroyed those who were stronger than these in prowess, and the case of the ancients has gone before, 8 And if thou (Muhammad) ask them: Who created the heavens and the earth, they will surely answer: The Mighty, the Knower created them; 9 He it is Who made this earth for you a cradle and made in it pathways for you that you may find the way to your destination; 10 And (it is He), who sends down water from the sky in its measure thereby We revive the land that was dead, as such you shall be brought forth. 11 And He Who created pairs of all things, and made for you of the ships and the cattle what you ride on, 12 That you may settle yourselves upon their backs and then remember the favor of your Lord when you have settled upon them and say. "Exalted is He who has subjected this to us, and we could not have [otherwise] subdued it. 13 surely unto our Lord we are turning.' 14 Yet they assign to Him some of His own (created) worshipers! Clearly, the human is unthankful. 15
