Nay; I swear by the moon, 32 By the receding night 33 by the brightening dawn, 34 hell is certainly the greatest calamity. 35 it is a warning to man, 36 whether one steps forward to embrace the faith or one turns away from it. 37 Every soul will be in captivity for its deeds 38 Except those on the Right, (i.e. the pious true believers of Islamic Monotheism); 39 [Who will be] in gardens, questioning each other 40 and will ask of the criminals, 41 "What led you into Hell Fire?" 42 They will answer: "We were not among those who prayed; 43 and neither did we feed the needy; 44 "But we used to talk vanities with vain talkers; 45 and rejected the Day of Judgment 46 Until there came to us the certainty." 47 The intercession of the intercessors shall then be of no avail to them. 48 What is the matter with people that they are turning away from this Exhortation, 49 As if they were alarmed donkeys 50 Fleeing from a lion! 51 Indeed, everyone of them desires to have sheets of revelations unfolded before them -- 52 No! But they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 Nay! it is surely an admonition. 54 So whosoever willeth may heed it. 55 And they will not receive admonition unless Allah wills; He (Allah) is the One, deserving that mankind should be afraid of, and should be dutiful to Him, and should not take any Ilah (God) along with Him, and He is the One Who forgives (sins). 56
