Vanity (Al-Zukhruf)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
Ha Mim. 1 I call to witness the lucent Book, 2 We have indeed sent it as a Qur’an in the Arabic language, so that you may understand. 3 Indeed it is transcribed in the Original Book with Us; sublime and full of wisdom. 4 Should We withdraw the admonition from you because you are a people far gone in transgression? 5 How many a Prophet did We send to the earlier peoples! 6 But never yet came a prophet to them without their deriding him 7 so We destroyed those who were mightier than these; such was the example of the earlier peoples. 8 And indeed if you ask them, "Who has created the heavens and the earth?" They will surely say: "The All-Mighty, the All-Knower created them." 9 He who appointed the earth to be a cradle for you, and appointed ways for you therein, that haply you may be guided; 10 It is He who sends water down from the sky in due measure, We revive dead land with it and likewise you will be resurrected from the grave, 11 It is He who has created everything in pairs and the ships and cattle for you to ride, 12 That you may settle yourselves upon their backs and then remember the favor of your Lord when you have settled upon them and say. "Exalted is He who has subjected this to us, and we could not have [otherwise] subdued it. 13 And verily, to Our Lord we indeed are to return! 14 And they appoint for Him from His bondmen a part! Verily man is an ingrate manifest. 15
