Al-Zukhruf 4 of 7

And whoever is blinded from remembrance of the Most Merciful - We appoint for him a devil, and he is to him a companion. 36 And verily, they (Satans / devils) hinder them from the Path (of Allah), but they think that they are guided aright! 37 And when he comes before Us, he shall say: 'Would that there had been between me and you, the distance of the two Easts' Evil is the companion. 38 When ye have done wrong, it will avail you nothing, that Day, that ye shall be partners in Punishment! 39 What! can you then make the deaf to hear or guide the blind and him who is in clear error? 40 Whether We take thee away, We shall take vengeance upon them, 41 or show them to you suffering the torment with which We had threatened them. We are certainly dominant over them all. 42 So hold thou fast unto that which has been revealed unto thee; surely thou art upon a straight path. 43 And verily it is an admonition unto thee and thy people; and presently ye will be questioned. 44 You can ask Our Messengers whom We sent before you if We had commanded them to worship other gods besides the Beneficent God?" 45
