And indeed We rescued the Descendants of Israel from a disgraceful torture. 30 From Pharaoh. Indeed, he was a haughty one among the transgressors. 31 And certainly We chose them, having knowledge, above the nations. 32 and showed them signs in which there was a clear test. 33 Even then they say: 34 There is naught but our first death, and we shall not be raised again. 35 “Therefore bring back our forefathers, if you are truthful!” 36 Are they better or the people of Tubba' and those before them? We destroyed them, [for] indeed, they were criminals. 37 And We created not the heavens and the earth, and all that is between them, in play. 38 We did not create them both but with the truth, but most of them do not know. 39 Verily the Day of sorting out is the time appointed for all of them,- 40 the Day when no friend shall be of the least avail to his friend, and when none shall be succoured 41 Apart from those to whom God is kind. He is all-mighty and all-merciful. 42
