Kneeling (Al-Jaatheyah)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
HaMeem. 1 This Book is a revelation from the Most Mighty, the Most Wise. 2 Indeed, within the heavens and earth are signs for the believers. 3 And in the creation of yourselves and what He disperses of moving creatures are signs for people who are certain [in faith]. 4 And (in) the variation of the night and the day, and (in) what Allah sends down of sustenance from the cloud, then gives life thereby to the earth after its death, and (in) the changing of the winds, there are signs for a people who understand. 5 Those are the signs of God that We recite to thee in truth; in what manner of discourse then, after God and His signs, will they believe? 6 Alas the woe for every dissembling sinner 7 Who hears the verses of Allah recited to him, then persists arrogantly as if he had not heard them. So give him tidings of a painful punishment. 8 Whenever he comes to know anything of Our Signs, he makes them an object of jest. For such there awaits a humiliating chastisement. 9 Behind them Gehenna; and that they have earned shall not avail them aught, nor those they took as protectors, apart from God; for them awaits a mighty chastisement. 10 This is guidance. Those who deny the revelations of their Lord will suffer a dreadful doom. 11
