The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ THE MOST GRACIOUS 1 has taught the Quran to (Muhammad). 2 has created man, 3 and He taught him speech. 4 The sun and the moon to a reckoning. 5 and the stars and the trees bow themselves; 6 He raised the heavens and set up everything in balance, 7 so that you should not transgress the measure. 8 Give just weight and do not skimp the scales. 9 He has laid out the earth for His creatures. 10 There exists all kinds of fruits, palm-trees with sheathed blossoms, 11 And the grain with (its) husk and fragrance. 12 Which of the bounties of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 13 He created man from clay like [that of] pottery. 14 And created jinns from the white-hot flame of fire. 15 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 16 [He is] Lord of the two sunrises and Lord of the two sunsets. 17 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 18 He hath let loose the two seas. 19 Between them is a barrier [so] neither of them transgresses. 20 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 21 There come forth from the twain the pearl and the coral. 22 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 23 To Him only belong the sailing ships, raised above the sea like hills. 24 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you then deny? 25
