Kneeling (Al-Jaatheyah)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
HA MIM. 1 THE BESTOWAL from on high of this divine writ issues from God, the Almighty, the Wise. 2 Most surely in the heavens and the earth there are signs for the believers. 3 And in your creation, and all the creatures He scatters in the earth – in them are signs for the people who are certain. 4 And the difference of night and day and the provision that Allah sendeth down from the sky and thereby quickeneth the earth after her death, and the ordering of the winds, are portents for a people who have sense. 5 Those are the signs of God that We recite to thee in truth; in what manner of discourse then, after God and His signs, will they believe? 6 Woe to every sinful liar 7 Who hears the Verses of Allah (being) recited to him, yet persists with pride as if he heard them not. So announce to him a painful torment! 8 As for he who knows something of Our verses and then mocks them for those there is a humiliating punishment. 9 Before them is Hell, and what they had earned will not avail them at all nor what they had taken besides Allah as allies. And they will have a great punishment. 10 This is guidance. Those who deny the revelations of their Lord will suffer a dreadful doom. 11
