Al-Jaatheyah 4 of 4
To God belongs the kingdom of the heavens and the earth; on the Day when the Hour comes, those who follow falsehood will be the losers. 27 You shall see every nation hobbling on their knees. Each nation shall be summoned to its Book. (And it will be said:) 'This Day, you shall be recompensed for what you were doing. 28 This is Our book that speaks against you with justice; surely We wrote what you did, 29 Then, as for those who believed and did good works, their Lord will bring them in unto His mercy. That is the evident triumph. 30 But those who rejected the truth [will be asked], "When My revelations were recited to you, were you not arrogant and did you not persist in wicked deeds? 31 And when it was said, Surely the promise of Allah is true and as for the hour, there is no doubt about it, you said: We do not know what the hour is; we do not think (that it will come to pass) save a passing thought, and we are not at all sure. 32 The evil of what they had done will become clear to them, and they will be seized by what they had scorned. 33 And it will be said: Today We shall forget you, even as ye forgat the meeting of this your Day, and your abode will be the Fire, and none ye will have as helpers. 34 You reached this end because you made Allah's Signs an object of jest and the life of the world deluded you.” So they shall not be taken out of the Fire nor shall they be asked to make amends (and thus please their Lord). 35 Praise, belongs to Allah, the Lord of the heavens and the earth, the Lord of the Worlds. 36 And to Him belongs greatness in the heavens and the earth, and He is the Mighty, the Wise. 37

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
