Q (Qaaf)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Qaf. By the honored Qur'an... 1 No, but they marvel that from among themselves a warner has come to them. The unbelievers say (in mockery): 'This is a marvelous thing! 2 What, when we are dead and become dust? That is a far returning!' 3 Well do We know how the earth consumes their bodies, for with Us is a record unfailing. 4 In fact they denied the Truth when it came to them, so they are now in a dilemma. 5 Do they not look at the sky above them - how We have built it and made it beautiful and free of all faults? 6 We spread out the earth and set upon it firm mountains, and We cause every delightful thing to grow in it 7 As instruction and reminder to every penitent creature. 8 We also sent down blessed water from the heaven, wherewith We caused gardens and harvest-grain to grow, 9 and tall palm-trees with their thickly-clustered dates, 10 as a provision for the worshipers; thereby We revived a land that was dead. Such shall be the emerging. 11 The people of Noah denied before them, and the companions of the well and Thamud 12 And the A-ad, and Fir'awn, and the brethren of Lut. 13 the dwellers of the Thicket and the nation of Tubba', all belied their Messengers, therefore My threat was realized. 14 Were We then fatigued with the first creation? Yet are they in doubt with regard to a new creation. 15
