Q (Qaaf)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Qaf: By the Glorious Qur'an (Thou art Allah's Messenger). 1 Indeed, they are astonished that a warner should have come to them from among themselves. So these deniers of the truth say, "This is indeed a strange thing, 2 that after we die and become dust, we shall be brought back to life again. This seems far from reality". 3 We know that which the earth taketh of them, and with Us is a recording Book. 4 Nay, but they cried lies to the truth when it came to them, and so they are in a case confused. 5 So did they not see the sky above them – how We have made it and beautified it, and there are no cracks in it? 6 We spread out the earth and set upon it solid mountains and We brought forth from it all kinds of delightful plants, 7 as a lesson and reminder for every human being who turns to God; 8 And We have sent down from the heaven water and blest wherewith We have caused gardens to grow and the grain reaped. 9 And high date-palms with lush fruit. 10 A provision for (Allah's) slaves. And We give life therewith to a dead land. Thus will be the resurrection (of the dead). 11 Before them, the people of Noah and the people of Rass denied this truth; and so did the people of Thamud. 12 And 'Ad, and Fir'aun (Pharaoh), and the brethren of Lout (Lot), 13 dwellers of the forest, and the people of Tubba had all rejected the Prophets. Thus, they became subject to Our torment. 14 What, were We wearied by the first creation? No indeed; but they are in uncertainty as to the new creation. 15
