Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By (the winds) that scatter dust. 1 and the burden-bearers 2 And those who move (on the water) gently, 3 then by the distributors (angels), ordered; 4 indeed, that which you are promised is true, 5 And undoubtedly justice will surely be done. 6 And by oath of the decorated heaven. 7 surely you are deeply at variance [as to what to believe] -- 8 Deluded away from the Qur'an is he who is deluded. 9 Woe to the liars 10 Those who have forgotten in a state of intoxication. 11 they who [mockingly] ask, "When is that Day of Judgment to be?" 12 Upon the day when they shall be tried at the Fire: 13 Taste your burning: this is that which ye sought to be hastened. 14 As to the Righteous, they will be in the midst of Gardens and Springs, 15 Taking joy in the things which their Lord gives them, because, before then, they lived a good life. 16 They used to sleep but little by night [invoking their Lord (Allah) and praying, with fear and hope]. 17 And ere the dawning of each day would seek forgiveness, 18 And the beggar and the destitute had a share in their wealth. 19 And on the earth there are signs for those who would be convinced. 20 there are signs for firm believers. Do you not see then? 21 And in the heaven is your provision and that which ye are promised. 22 Then, by the Lord of the heaven and the earth, it is the truth (i.e. what has been promised to you), just as it is the truth that you can speak. 23
