Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the scatterers (the wind) scattering, 1 and those that carry the burden [of heavy clouds,] 2 And the ships that glide with ease. 3 and the partitioners, 4 Indeed, what you are promised is true. 5 The Judgement will indeed take place. 6 By the heaven full of paths, 7 surely, you are in different sayings, 8 though only those who are averse to the Truth will turn away from (believing in it). 9 Slain be those who mould from their imaginations. 10 Who are lost in deception. 11 They ask, "When will be the Day of Judgment and Justice?" 12 Upon the day when they shall be tried at the Fire: 13 'Taste your trial! This is that you were seeking to hasten.' 14 Surely the godfearing shall be among gardens and fountains 15 Accepting what their Lord has given them. Indeed, they were before that doers of good. 16 they used to sleep but little by night, 17 And every morning asked forgiveness, 18 And in their properties there was the right of the beggar, and the Mahrum (the poor who does not ask the others). 19 And in the earth there are signs for those who are sure, 20 and also in your own selves. Do you not see? 21 In heaven is your sustenance, and also that which you are promised. 22 By the Lord of the heaven and the earth, it is certainly the truth. It is as true as your ability to speak. 23
